Notice of Intent to Submit Applications to 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program

Per the application guidelines, Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, Kan. (BGCLK) issues a public notice to the Lawrence community regarding our intention to apply for two 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants. We are applying for support for both BGCLK – Woodlawn and BGCLK – Hillcrest.

The purpose of the 21st CCLC Program, as described in federal statute, is to provide opportunities for eligible communities to establish or expand activities that focus on:

• Improved academic achievement
• Enrichment services that reinforce and complement the academic program as well as social and emotional learning
• Family Engagement

The grant is administered by the Kansas Department of Education.
