Youth of the Year 2022
Youth of the Year is the premier recognition program for the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence. We are so excited for the Youth of the Year event to resemble something like “normal”—we are once again welcoming one and all to attend on January 27, 2022!!
Presented by Mid America Bank, Youth of the Year is the most important event we do. Club members who earn the Youth of the Year title embody the values of leadership service, academic excellence and healthy lifestyles. They exemplify the powerful impact that Boys & Girls Club has on the lives of young people.
Join us at Liberty Hall for this spectacular showcase of four of our teens! The event is FREE and open to the public. Please reserve your ticket(s) ahead of time for planning purposes. We encourage you to arrive early as we are predicting a full house of supporters to cheer on these kids! Doors open for everyone at 6 p.m. for the Candidate Reception. The program will begin at 7 p.m. Did we mention that tickets are free to everyone??
This incredible event will follow the established protocol of the venue, Liberty Hall. All attendees age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to attend. Please have your vaccination card and matching ID ready upon entry into the event. Guests may present proof of a negative test within 48 hours for entry, as well. Guests under 12 years old are not required to be fully vaccinated.
