Come see the Grandstand Growlers take on the CEK Insurance Bat-itudes for the 3rd year in a row!!! Celebrity Softball is the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence’s premier annual fundraising event. For our fourth year, we have found a new way to enjoy everything Celebrity Softball has to offer–by combining the Fanfest Fundraiser and Celebrity Softball Tournament into one day! This year, the Fanfest Fundraiser will take place immediately before the game, right in Rock Chalk Park! This event is a fun pre-game afternoon party, complete with appetizers, drinks, fundraising and mingling with your favorite local celebrities before they head out to Arrocha Ballpark to play for the trophies.
Here’s the pitch:
4:00 PM: The Fanfest Fundraiser begins! Here, you can meet with local celebrities, sponsors, donors and other supporters to enjoy tasty food, drinks, fun and fundraising. This fundraiser is for adults only, but you can still bring the little ones–we will have bounce houses complete with BGC staff to keep them company!
6:00 PM: The Fundraiser comes to a close, but the night is just getting started! Snow cones, face painting, and a Dunk Tank featuring our star “dunkee,” USD497 Superintendent Dr. Lewis, will open for some family fun while our celebrities get into gear!
7:00 PM: Cheer on your favorite celebrities as they hit the field! Enjoy concessions, raffle prizes, contests, friendly competition and more!

Champions of Great Futures Trophy: Awarded to the team who collectively fundraises the most for BGCLK!
Celebrity Softball Champions: Awarded to the team who proves victorious on the softball field!
