Boys & Girls Club To Offer Five “Fuel Up 4 Summer” Sites
LAWRENCE, Kan. – During the 2018 Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence summer programming, BGCLK is teaming up with the USD 497 food program and Kansas State Research and Extension to offer free breakfast and lunch for all kids 0-18 years old.
The free food program is called, “Fuel Up 4 Summer. Food That’s In When School Is Out.” Its purpose is to reach as many kids as possible with fresh, healthy food, particularly when three square meals can be difficult to come by when kids are out of school for the summer. It is free for kids 0-18 years old and a discounted rate is offered for adults. Kids DO NOT have to be enrolled in the Boys & Girls Club to participate.
