Area Director // Broken Arrow & Quail Run
Ashley Estrada was named the Area Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence Broken Arrow and Quail Run sites in 2016. She joined the Movement in 2014 as an AmeriCorps service member before being promoted to Program Manager of the Broken Arrow Elementary BGC site. Her valuable experience as a preschool teacher helped Ashley get her start in early childhood development. Her background in ice cream and cupcake sales comes in quite handy, as well. In 2016, Ashley celebrated a major achievement as her mentee, Jazmyne McNair, was named the Lawrence and Kansas Youth of the Year.
Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science (2014) from the University of Kansas and is currently pursuing her Masters in Education. Her favorite things to do in Lawrence include drinking coffee and reading on Mass Street. Ashley lives in Lawrence with her boyfriend Nick and their pup, Finn.
